NAPLES, FLORIDA (DATE) — Dr. Dan Sturdevant, Head of School at Optima Academy Online the first public, classical school delivered in virtual reality, is participating in the Reform Leader’s Summit June 23-25 delivered via Zoom.
Reform Leader’s Summit is an intensive experience designed for Catholic School Supporters. Each year, a cohort of approximately 50 talented leaders are selected for an immersive program aiming to equip education leaders with the skills needed to support family rights and equity in education. Participants walk away with increased understanding of the legal, social, constitutional, political, and moral dimensions of family choice public policy in the US.
“I am honored to have been nominated for the Reform Leader’s Summit,” said Dan Sturdevant. “Although OAO is a secular school, we strongly believe in family choice when it comes to education.”
Dr. Dan Sturdevant received his Master’s in Liberal Studies from Duke University and later achieved a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina. He has been OAO’s Head of School since 2021, and he gave two keynote addresses at the OptimaEd Classical Education Conference in 2022.
